Doing what you say, saying what you do
I believe, wholeheartedly, that rest is essential for creativity and for productivity. When I was younger I believed it but didn’t live by it. It was a choice that felt unavailable to me. Then, about a decade ago, I decided to choose and wear the consequences. There were no bad consequences - only good ones. I was more creative, more productive.
Because rest is essential for creativity and productivity!
Then the pandemic happened. I haven’t taken a ‘proper’ break since.
Until this week.
This week I am hiking and resting and, most importantly, not-thinking-about-work.
I know many of you have been living pressured, always-on lives for the last few years.
I hope you can find time to rest and reboot.

Agreed. I felt like I needed a holiday to get over the holiday! We need the rest to get the mental space for artistic inspiration to permeate our consciousness better. The Groove Armada track has such cool mellow summer vibes and a great era-spanning musical sensibility. Glad you took a leap of faith to concentrate on your creative output. It gives the rest of us some impetus to focus more on what matters without fear. Keep up the lovely music Nazneen :)
