A (new) Song for Dreamers
Walking in the Spanish hills super-charged my creativity. My notebook is awash with words waiting to be adopted (most will remain orphaned). My phone has 23 new vocal snippets yearning to be developed (most will remain unopened).
I used to feel guilty about this wasted and wasteful (in)activity, but I now know it is the writing and singing that are vital. Not whether there is a concrete output.
But it is nice when there is an output! So here is a new song.
This song is inspired by the courage of dreamers. I have been inspired by so many these last few years, from sports, arts, science, and, of course, medicine. This song is a small mark of my gratitude and reminds me to stay strong.
It is written on my new guitar in a new tuning (DADGAD) – the history is given in a previous post.
